Vor ca. zwanzig (!) Jahren habe ich an dem Ort schon einmal Fotos aufgenommen und ich war überrascht, als ich das Gebäude noch immer in dem gleichen maroden Zustand vorfand. Nur die Vegetation ringsherum war dichter geworden...
An dem Motiv gefallen mir die Gegensätze von Licht und Schatten, sowie Vergangenheit und Gegenwart. Es war für mich wie eine kleine Zeitreise.
